Sex 101: Training for Healthcare Professionals

Although sexuality is an important part of overall health, formal education in sexuality is notoriously lacking for medical professionals. This interactive program, designed for nursing, medical, and other healthcare students and practitioners, uses a holistic understanding of sexuality to incorporate sexual, medical, reproductive, psychological, and social wellness into practice. Topics to be highlighted include sexual anatomy and physiology, the sexual response cycle, taking a sexual history, comfort with talking to patients about sexuality, personal values and attitudes, and sensitivity.
